Update on the many issues I am having

So it has been 10 days since I dropped my car off with the dealer. They have actually been very good about working hard for me. They call me daily to let me know the progress. Seems several of the things I have complained about are nothing new. Seems the only real issue they are having is with the transmission. They have been in contact with Ford (not sure what that really means) and tell me they are working on the issue. Not sure if this means they have also noticed the problem or if they are just going off my word and fighting for me. Since I had a discussion with them about making me feel like I must prove to them I have issues, they have not come back saying everything is normal.

I think the best I can hope for is some improvement or elimination of problems. Maybe I will be more happy if they only real issue is the transmission. I was told not to expect my car back until at least Tuesday, so I am hopeful that indeed I get it back soon.

Good luck. It sounds like the dealer is trying to actually resolve things w/Ford's help. I had mine in during Feb for the steering gear/dash replacement and they bent over backwards to resolve the issues I was having. They also offered a rental car. Very nice...

Of course, these cars should have had better initial build quality. Fit/finish on some of the early cars (like mine) is so-so (inconsistent panel gaps, doors not flush, etc).

Is there another thread that lists your many issues? Maybe you should update there, or add the list here so we know what issues you're talking about.

The issues are spread across many threads. So here is the list:

1. When the car shifts it makes a growling noise (This is the DCT). Also odd shift patterns.
2. The clock keeps changing the time to some random time.
3. The car is "sputtering" in the mornings after first start after backing out of my driveway.
4. The recall for the wiper motor thing.
5. The steering gear issue.
6. The passenger weather stripping is maligned.
7. The intelligent entry sometimes does not unlock when you touch the handle.
8. The rain sensing wipers are erratic.

So that is my list. Several of these are pretty common it seems. They seem to think they have all fixed expect the transmission and I would assume the wipers.
