You should try to wire up some white ones to go with the green, that way you still have a hint of green but can still be legal-ish.

At least you can have white while driving and switch to green when showing.

Yeah, that's an awesome idea. I imagine you can get those little "3 bulb" strips in white and splice them into the regular light wires.
