I like it, but the stripes are too big. I see where you are going with this and sometimes a temp fix needs to be done

Yeah I know, but the cf vinyl was a pain to work with. It and my heat gun didn't like each other. Certain spots got really hot really fast and sorta melted it. I'm talking two seconds when others would take ten to fifteen.

give me your worst. daylight makes it look horrible. i think i am going to run with a primered hood for a while versus this.
i tried snapping a pic as i walked in to work, and my phone corrupted the pic file.

it has too many creases, lines are super crooked. i seriously hate it. the cf part doesnt look as bad, and only did it as such due to so many issues...

it was going to be all CF... but then my heat gun melted parts of it really quick. other parts took a while to get it pliable for the contours of the hood..

wrapping a hood is a pain. now, body panels, i can do all day everyday.


oh and btw, i did this at night, in low light, with my mom insisting to help me. i appreciated her help, but i ended up just telling her to go inside..
definitely need two people with some vinyl know-how to do a hood.

Well, using the picture you do have and remembering that this is only my opinion, I'd say I like the idea of CF with the green stripes. I don't like the vents and hood pins (I think that's what they are, right?); they make the hood look too busy. As for the stripes, I agree with Pyroinsa that they look to big. Maybe just a couple inches or so thick would look more subtle, and if they only followed the large air vent line like the inside edges of the stripes already do. Just my opinions but I think you are going in the right direction.

yeah i like the idea. but i don't like how it came out.
the hood pins are kinda necessary, i am thinking of repainting them since its already starting to chip. the vents are glued in but i am going to pop them out and paint them to match the hood pins when i get to that. they were painted like that to go with a all CF hood wrap job.

failed miserably at that.


the stripes are only that big due to having so many issues with the cf.. i had to fill the void.
i wanted to do them thinner, but i didn't want a three tone hood (cf, green, and primer)


i will be purchasing some more vinyl in a couple weeks and starting over.

so i did a temp fix on the temp fix lol.
it shows how crooked the hood pins are but whatever.


once the chaos in my life settles (legal and health) i will make sure it starts to look alot better.
it looks awesome at night.

and got to cruise around with some 400+hp cars all day saturday, including a 900hp corvette...
showed him how to hit the corners. haha
