Exclamation Serious Radio Volume Problem

This is dangerous and distracting. Not sure if Ford knows about this but I've finally made a video of this phenomena.

Try unplugging it and plugging it back in?

So it's a problem with your Sirius radio? or it's a Serious radio problem?

Because your title says serious radio volume problem. Either way, try unplugging the power source.

It will reset itself eventually. After some random period of time. It's not always happening when it's safe for me pull over and hunt through the fusebox.

why don't you just unplug it while you're not driving and then plug it back in? then see if it starts to do it once again??

I can try doing that next time but I shouldn't have to be hunting around in the fusebox. The post is really about getting the word out on a potentially dangerously distracting issue.

Natalie Merchant, nice. It sounds to me like the steering wheel volume up control is stuck. Maybe a short in the wiring or a bad fuse, or possibly just a software issue. Hard to tell without playing around with it more.

If I had to guess though, I would say a short in the wiring somewhere is the most likely problem because it is intermittent.

Instead of waiting for it to happen just unplug it, disconnect battery, remove fuses... See if it ever happens again. The key to safety is being proactive, not reactive.
