Lol I can't help doing that every time you mention it. Still no rush though, since the exhaust is in my parent's garage 1.5 hours away still. I'll probably bring it back home in couple weeks.

By the way, your fan-only-works-on-4 problem is the resistor pack, I made a comment in the Rev boredom thread too.

Also by the way, I got my headlights apart! Took a couple hours: in oven, scrape goo, back in oven, scrape more goo, pull apart, etc. Now just gotta clean em up real nice and prep them for paint for this weekend!

Resistor pack is behind the glovebox (pinch the sides in to get it out). It will be on the firewall, kinda to the left side, blue or white colored I believe. Just need a phillips screwdriver (EDIT: or 8mm socket? I swear I used a screwdriver..) to remove it, but it's a tricky spot to get at.

Ah, just found this, perfect:

About the resistor pack? Glad to help and inform! I actually fixed it on my brother-in-law's ZX3 before I even owned my SVT. It's such an odd solution (replace these faulty resistors, duh!) to an equally odd problem (1-no air, 2-no air, 3-no air, 4-BLAST ALL THE AIRS!).

In retrospect, and being an electrical engineer, it actually makes sense. My guess is the fan motor is powered by 12v, with varying speed based on current sent to it. Setting 4 would just a wire to 12v (no resistance, full current), while settings 3 -> 1 increase resistance, thereby decreasing the current sent to the fan, thereby decreasing the fan speed, while setting 0 just grounds the fan. How the thing fails, however, I have no idea. Could be that it operates at a fairly high current, therefore high wattage, and they just get hot as hell and burn out.
