And here's one more. I don't know if it's in here yet or not but here it is:

A while back, I stumbled across a thread were members of this forum had done similar work for their air intakes. I have long since lost that thread but here is what I did for mine.

The portion that I cut out of the plastic shroud over the grill.

The scoop and shark fin for a lack of a better word was cut out of hard plastic and glued into place.

The scoop sitting in the car.

Everything back into place.

And a view from the grill.

There may be more here but that was the main post: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...175576&page=27

The fitment of it isn't very good and I slides around a little bit (I tried to glue it into place but the scoop part has broken loose) so I'll be doing a rebuild hopefully soon. It's 1/8" plastic.

very nice! it looks really clean in there. i'm thinking of something like this to do, but i have limited resources. could i find this 1/8" plastic at home depot or something? i suppose you used some sort of plastic epoxy to bond it all together.

Sweet name change! Good to see you got your Focus fixed and also finally glad to hear that your wing will be getting fixed too.

as far as the plastic, i have been using LEXAN for a few things... and i have a few more things planned with it. you can get it at home depot/lowes.. doesnt really bend, but i'm sure you could do that mod with a straight piece just as easily.

and now your name doesnt match the build thread... hahahahahahaha

I got the plastic free in the trash.

All I used to hold it together was glue. It holds everything fine because there are no moving or bent parts.

the damaged wing is all fixed. i got a guy to do it and he finished it under an hour. going to pick it up soon. then $25 or so in paint and sealer and it can be put on.

this is the stupid thing i made for the intake. i don't know how well it will even work, it's just a product of boredom.
