its alright, wet sand the tint off, then respray clear coat. It took me 3x and I couldnt understand why the tint kept cracking, then my brother told me theres some kind of oil on the 3rd brake lights, and the headlights that causes spray tint to crack.

would 220 grit be too much? or should i pick up some 400 grit? and no wonder the VHT on my headlights cracked so badly. i might re-do my tail lights as well with a gloss finish. can i just spray gloss over the existing tint spray on the tail lights? i want them to blend in with the body of the car.

nooo 1000 grit is what you need. 220 grit I think youll end up scratching the brake light. And spray clear coat on your tails for it to be shiny. I messed up on my taillights, and removed 10 coats with brake cleaner and now the VHT dries dull.

so i can spray right on top of the VHT on my tail lights?

yes, I think they recommend doing that too.

kk, will probably put the gloss on my tails tomorrow. could i just wash off the tint on my 3rd light with gas like i did with my headlights?

I would use de-natured alcohol, that stuff works great for stuff like that. In fact when I first did my brake light, it looked like crap. So I just cleaned it off with de-natured alcohol and just resprayed, looks 1000x better, no cracking either.

liiike rubbing alcohol/isopryl alcohol? that's all i have atm lol
