Angry Need help installing my SCT chip

Im so embarrassed! Ok on the instruction sheet it says locate the stock computer. The PCM is held in place by a 5.5mm bolt, this bolt has to be removed first. ok my question is were is this bolt? I have looked and looke with a flash light all through the dam glove compartment and can't see or find a 5.5mm bolt! I do see the computer and a small black box with a yellow sticker on it, this little black box has two screws and it's on top of the computer. Then the instructions say a 10mm socket is required to remove the wiring harness from the computer. The 10mm bolt is located at the center of the wiring harness. As you loosen it, the connector will slowly release from the harness. Where is the wiring harness?

I looked and searched through the glove compartment and have trouble looking for these things. The directions are a little unclear at times! I really need your help ive been wanting to put my chip in for almost 2 weeks know and I finally had the time to put it in today but I blew it cause I couldn't locate the bolts HELP

Okay there,

It just so happens that I am a new expert on the PCM since I have hacked into it twice in 2 days....

First, here is a Pic:

Okay, what you are seeing is the glove box completely removed with the PCM on the right hand side. You will not have to remove your glovebox to access your PCM, though. What you do need to do is detach the little plastic kick panel below the glovebox by removing two plastic screw-fasteners, then yanking on it until it pops off. Then, you need to stick your head under the dash and you will see a black plstic piece on the bottom of the PCM that has "THE BOLT" in the middle of it. Unscrew the bolt (you won't see it coming out, it will just need to be loosened because that bolt holds the plug harness into the PCM) Loosen and loosen and loosen some more, then yank on the plug...it's hard to get out, but you shouldn't have too much problem. And there you go....

The red piece you see in the pic is the harness plug pulled out from the PCM.

PS--

I did a littler more searching and found that your car is a little more different from mine that what I would have originally thought.

here are specific directions for what you need to do:

Unfortunately, I can't help you with that. I have an SVT that has an un-chippable PCM. I don't know diddly about the chips you guys use. You might want to contact the vendor or the person you bought it from.

Did you have to unplug your battery after your chip install?
