swap question

i went to the junkyard today and found an svt engine for $400 no tranny ... is a zetec to svt swap worth it? can i use my stock tranny? what do i need? need help pleeeze! thanks!

That is an excellent find...........you will also need the harness, ECU,Mounts,Airbox(or aftermarket intake), and I'm sure odds and ends small stuff...........You can use your Tranny and axles.........now for being worth it, it's one of those great debates of FF, some say yes, some say no...........I would say for how cheap you found the engine for(and figuring you can get the rest of the stuff)I would go for it........should be a straight foward swap............

v6focus is right it is a straight forward swap.
Some of the SVT owners switch back to our transmissions because the gearing better matches what they want when modding and I think the 5 speed is more durable.

Yeah, for that price you should go for it. If you can find the harness and intake system it definately would be well worth the money.
