If your planning on redoing the piping then I would take that time to relocate the MAF after the intercooler to have a blow through setup. Then you won't have to relocate the IAT but you will need a new tune. Both setups work; its just personal preference. My ST had a blow through setup in a 3 inch MAF housing. My Merkur, on the other hand, has a suck through setup from the factory.

Its more then a personal preference , blow through has better throttle response , better driveability , no need to rewire and move your IAT sensor , everything about it is better , anyone not selling a blowthrough kit these days then its about money in there pocket and not that they want a good quality kit
Hay if you can Fab. then thats the way to go do it wont hurt my feelings any You MUST tune for the change in the MAF size and location Tom

Tom, what is a blow through MAF? sorry, I've seen it mentioned all the time but never actually knew what it was. Does it just measure airflow the other way or what?

And Tom makes very valid points to the advantages of a blow through setup.

Correct ,
Suckthrough = MAF on the suction side of the turbo between filter and turbo Blowthrough = MAF between the intercooler and turbo (pressure side) Tom

If you changed to blowthrough (which you should) then the IAT in the maf blowthrough is all thats needed
Tom
