Looking for performance clutch

My connecting rod bearing let go and im kinda forced to buy a engine.

My mods are Header,CAI,2'25 exhaust,a/f,Toms tune

I plan on adding a cam in the summer. I dont really want to go OEM but if OEM can handle the power that is going to come i will buy a new clutch.

I plan on putting a newer transmission and clutch in because my car has 155,000km on original parts. It has been driven hard for quite awhile now.
SO im trying to eliminate future problems.

If you guys could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks :)

Great time to upgrade to a 23 motor. Add a Exedy oem replacement clutch kit, cranes stage 1 cams. Whats wrong w/ the trans?

Still cant find a 2.3 engine so im stuck with a 2.0 which is fine with me. its only got 26,000km
I was looking at the clutch. Is it better than stock?
bolts up without any hassle?

The trans is old and has taken a lot of abuse. 150,000km. second gear doesnt slide in very nice anymore, sometimes grinds. so im gonna find a junkyard tranny that has a lot less km.

Stage 2 would be the route im thinking of taking.

This is already a expensive trip to the garage. 500$ motor, 1200$ labour, 600-700 clutch. Havent called for a transmission yet. Cams 600$
+ fluids and all that.
I might be waiting on the cams.
But will the clutch handle the power with the stage 2 cams?
Cams and Intake manifold in the future will be my final upgrades.
The clutch is my biggest concern right now.

A stage 1 clutch should handle stage 2 cams in a 2.0

I think i read that a stage 1 clutch is good for 275 tq. I wont even be close to that. ill probably be maybe 150Whp 160whp, but if i have to go to stage 1 i will.
But i want to know if the exedy OEM will handle that

I would just go with the OEM Exedy clutch kit with matching flywheel if I were you. You won't really need a racing clutch unless you plan on putting a turbo in your car. My mechanic said the install wasn't too tough and the Exedy kit is so smooth compared to the stock clutch. Don't really know the HP gains but I definitely feel the difference in acceleration and reving with the lighter flywheel.

If the Exedy oem clutch kit can handle the fwerks turbo project car, then it can handle what you can dish out.
