Would be fun if we had a beefier tranny and some forged internals. Then something else would become the week link and I'm sure with more power, these cars would wheel hop like crazy. I'll be happy if I can pull 200 whp out of this thing, and I think after somebody figures out a tuning solution, another issue with going turbo, that is entirely doable.

That is the number I want as well. 200WHP should make this car a lot more fun

I could deal with 200. 250 would be better, but 200 ain't bad. If people can get this car up to 175 with only full exhaust and intake, 200 should easily be achievable with a turbo.

Keep in mind that the 175 is whp. The jury is still out on rough drivetrain loss numbers. It sounds like 200 whp is going to be acceptable for the DCT, given my limited knowledge of it.

You can reduce the 12:1 compression with dished pistons or larger combustion chambers to turbocharge. I believe the power limit on the DCT is about 180 lb/ft of torque.

I thought WHP was actual wheel horse power, and that you only suffer drivetrain loss on crank horsepower (aka mfg. stated HP)?

I was talking 200 whp too. I honestly think it's doable n/a on these cars, we have barely scratched the surface of what these things are capable of. The transmissions are going to be the biggest drawback, funny because that's the weak link on my mustang project too.

Given the ST has 250 ft-lb, I guess you wouldn't be able to do an engine swap without MAJOR modifications to the car. Actually, you'd probably have to swap the tranny too.

Man, I can't wait til tunes start to come out. I can imagine FocusBoy is going to go to town. Prediction: he hits 200 first! I'd put money on it.

If I didn't have big boy bills now, I'd be there quick. Why did I decide to move out of my parent's house? Oh the good old days of spending my whole paycheck on mods.
