I have a 2002 Focus SVT and i was wondering what would be better for my car a supercharger or a turbo and what brand or model of both should i be looking at.

if 250 whp is what your looking for, i have a SVT powerworks supercharger for sale.
If your wanting 300+, then go turbo.

There are only a few superchargers capable of 250+. I have the Vortech, it put down 298 at the wheels. I don't think the power works will ever be capable of more than 260. Unless you find one used though all this info is useless. The procharger is the only one still available new. If you want to leave your options open then turbo is the best way, it will make as little or as much power as you want. But i wouldn't trade my vortech for nothing.

how much do u want for it and what is the most horsepower i could have using it. but what is cheaper a turbo or a supercharger (with all the equipment needed to have it in there cause im guessing u would need a intercooler) and if i end up staying under 300 should i get a supercharger instead of a turbo

a powerworks is more than capable of putting down 260 whp on a SVT with a smaller pulley and the right tune. Hell, i put down 232 on my SVT JRSC with only the ford big boost kit on a stock motor, and that kit is not cooled at all. Quote:
SVT JRSC: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=282857 SVT PWSC: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=282856 The powerworks kit will need a little work, but all info is in that thread. if you have any questions about the kits, PM me or post in one of those threads, dont want to thread jack all the others that will try and convince you to go turbo.

If you are looking for the cheapest way with most power finding a used PWSC or vortech would be good, otherwise go turbo. Procharger kits cost to much compared to a turbo build and JRSC don't make enough power for me.

i looked at the PWSC and u said it won't fit the SVT throttle body so i don't think i would buy it. and i will think about the JRSC but first i will look at the vortech and just wondering a K&N cold air intake work for the intake right.(on the JRSC)
