Yeah I am still a steeda lean, but I am wondering if it would be worth it to just get the damn precision designed heatshield for the extra $90 instead of the $210 ram air set up. I really worry about heatsoak without it. Then at that point I have to justify if the steeda is worth the extra $121 over FS Werks. Truthfully, I don't feel like dropping $400 on a tune so the difference might not be worth the extra money. While I think the Steeda is a better system do to their close relationship with Ford, I just don't think the extra money spent will justify the ends. Still up in the air as I know either system will be fantastic.

The thing with the fswerks at least from the pictures of it is there is no place where the air inlets connect, so it seems like it just blows air at it, without any real guidance once it is in the engine bay.

Spend more now, have less to regret later. Eventually, you'll have that desire for more power, and you'll wish you went with the best intake. Spend more the first time, spend less in the long run.

Duffman, you can get the steeda ram air kit, and later on you can always get the heat shield to split the price up a little

I think he was worried about the engine heat robbing performance with just the short ram intake because there is no heat shield.

But that is true as well. I mean by the time I pull the trigger on a system the weather should be heating up, granted we had a warm spring already, so if I do get the ram air I can see how bad bogging is after sitting at a light. If I do get the STeeda, I will have to get the fuse box cover too.
