Question 2007 2.0 project focus

Ok so I just recently bought a 07 ses zx4, the front end had to be replaced along with the engine and trans. Other than the hail damage and the loose bumper there is nothing wrong with the car. I'm wanting to put some work in to it, I have ruled out an engine/trans swap, what performance mods/parts would be best/are recommended? I'm open to just about anything( my experience is with V8's and 13B)
