SCT Xcal3 is a pain in the arse with the SVT Focus

Today, a nice warm Sunday afternoon I decided to swap in a 180 stat now that it's warmer outside. So I adjusted the fans in my Xcal3 to come on earlier (188 low/ 196 high fan). Now when I originally loaded the tune last year it took about an hour and half cause it kept failing then failing to return to stock. So this time here I am for 3 hours now uploading, reloading, again, again! This is stupid I need this car for work tomorrow. SCT needs to figure this shit out.

Yes that helps in a lot of cases when the SVT fails to load but allows the stock tune to load after the custom fails

Those fan settings are a little low , I would try 194 low and 203 high , you want the engine to run in the 190 range

I put a 180 stat in it which you agreed would be beneficial. So the car runs at 182 and would only see 190 sitting in traffic on warm days. Why would I want the motor to run in the 190? If that's the case I should have left the stock 192 in it?

Best performance is going to be in the 184 to 192 range , with the 192/196 thurmostat you would see as high as 230 deg sitting and 196 to 205 at cruise

The car today (75 degree day) ran between 180-189. Average was 185. I believe that this is optimal for a performance car. I'm not going to mess with the crap SCT handheld for 3 hours just to change the fans 4 degrees.
I really wish I would have bought a tuned Predator from Tom instead of the Xcal3 that doesn't work well with the FSVT.

Most are going to have to go to the live wire to tune the SVT , we are testing it now and it has worked flawless on 2 SVT so far

If you pull 46/61 and DO NOT ever update you should be fine loading tunes with your xcal
