ok, first i have got to say that it just stupid to say your gonna do x db with a setup that isnt even built yet. there are far to many factors to make a good judgment on that.

second no, 1" isnt avaible here sadly and im making a false floor and bolting that down to the car and then bolting the enclosure to the false floor.

so the new box plan for me will be to shrink the box down and forget about the 2x4 and use that threaded pole, still slot ported and tuned to 38-39 hz just have to make the design and see where i can get the tuning at with out to much changes. i decided to use the threaded pole because i could use a smaller box while still keeping the same volume and to begin with i was worried that it could create issues with the airmovement in the box. the corners will all have 45s, double baffle still, i will be using wood glue where everthere is wood to wood contact and then useing liquid nails along all corners on the inside of the box to ensure no air leaks. i will still be facing the box in more then 1 direction so and doing testing to see what works best ( rear facing was the best with the last setup by about 1 db ) the port walls will be rounded and the port opening will be rounded. im gonna paint the inside of the box so that all the walls are smoother ( heard it can make a difference so why not try ).

i personaly dont think that any aftermarket hu could realy be called a processor though, well exept that stage 4 pioneer that thing is just impressive

Alaskan, Think about resin for the inside instead of painting ... both will get it smooth but the resin eliminates the need for liquid nail in the corner ... the idea behind painting/ resin is to smooth out the grain in the material for the smoothest surface possible to increase efficiency x amount

^^ i already have the paint from doing some of my interior peices and i already have plenty of liquid nails from the last box. i realy have to keep the cost down for the box so im using what i have on hand. if this box gets me atleast 145.5-146.5 db then ill keep it till next year, if it doesnt then well i guess ill be rebuilding about 2 months later. its just that right now i have already put a grand into stuff to to fix body damage, i got headlights, my alt, and a throttle body, i only have 80 left of what i was saving for all this stuff. i still have to split the cost of a router with my dad so im realy pushing my limit.

trying to start buying a house so i have a strict limit on what i can spend

Yes, EQ, time alignment(TA), line driver, x-over, etc.

The Eclipse that I use has 13 bands of EQ, TA(tons of adjustment), x-over and 8 volts of output. Simply put, I love this deck.

I used to run a Pioneer Premier DEH-860mp. I almost bought a 800PRS until I came across a very good deal on the Eclipse.

The next deck that I buy will be a dead-head without a doubt.

If you know the frequency response at 1m/1w you can figure what the potential is at a certain wattage.

once i atualy start on the sq portion of this setup im gonna do rockford t2 (maybe t3)tweeters and their new 6" maybe the 8 " mid bass speakers in both doors up front running off either the t400.4or the t800.4 most likely the t800.4 with a rockford processor and if i can get it specail ordered i want the t3 crossovers that come with the t3 componet sets. then im gonna learn how to custom fiberglass and do the front doors to better aim the speakers towards the center of the car while still keeping the speakers as close to the stock location.

of course though that is all my current idea and stuff changes. ive been stuck at 85% complete on the audio build for ever now, i buy something install it then go i need more.

well i asked them for a 280amp alt they said because of the space the biggest they can do is 250 unless im willing to do custom work to make a bigger alt fit so i dont know what the other options are. i think 02zetec is getting one for 220amp. they are direct bolt on h/o alt no mod needed just upgraded wires. could go to your local parts store to and buy and interstate deepcycle for under the hood about $90 so that while at stop lights you dont have as much voltage drop. still under the $500+ for 2 batteries then.
