MFT and GPS(not Nav)

Is there a way to link my wife's new portable GPS through bluetooth to MFT? I'd like her to get directions through the stereo system by hitting Bluetooth audio.

Have you tried to pair it? While I have ZERO faith in MFT, I'll assume for a moment that you're trying to pair the GPS to a non-Ford bluetooth capable head unit.

In that case, assuming your GPS supports the proper bluetooth profile, you should be able to pair it with the head unit and treat it as a bluetooth media device. (I know that many people use Android's "maps" app this way.)

It depends on which profiles are supported by the GPS and by the head unit.

You should be able to pair your GPS as a BT audio source, it wouldn't hurt to try.

I've successfully paired and used a Nexus 7 tablet and my phone at the same time on MFT, though it can only handle one audio source at a time I think. I was able to stream audio from the tablet and retain hands-free functionality with the phone.

Unfortunately, once MFT was restarted the Nexus 7 had to be re-paired again because it wouldn't connect.

This was on v3.02, I haven't tried v3.5.1 yet.

I am happy to report that I paired the Nexus 7 with MFT v3.5.1 and it didn't lose the pairing once MFT was cycled off/on. In fact, it automatically reconnected to both my phone and the Nexus 7 without any intervention.

That's how I listen to Pandora.
Stock with factory Sony 10-speaker HD stereo and 4-wheel disc brakes.
