Hesitation under throttle

So my Zetec likes to hesitate on take off and under 3500rpm, especially on wide open throttle.
I'm thinking it may be a spark issue, or possibly in the intake system somewhere. Has anyone had a similar problem with their motor?

Moved to the Technical Chat area

Try checking the PCV hose that goes into the intake manifold. Sometimes it can fail causing some of the problems your describing.

Here is a link on how to change it, in it you can see the hose I am talking about.

Sorry, I thought that was the right part of the forum to post this.

Thanks for the link, I'll grab one of them hoses from work and try changing that over.

I figured it wasn't spark as it went away above a certain rpm range. My ignition module and leads could do with a change though

It's all good, we're mainly thread movers lol

Check the hose before you go and buy it, it's easy to inspect once you know what to look at.

Would it be cracked and old, or blocked from breathing out the rocker cover blow through?
