Dutch Focus ST170

Hi all,

I'm new on here. A little introduction can be found in the new member section.

I bought this Focus ST170 (SVT) in July 2012 and made some modifications since.
I will put some step by step updates on here.
I'm from Holland so please excuse my bad english

These are the first few pictures after i picked the focus up from the previous owner:

It's a 2004 Ford Focus ST170 wich is almost completely standard at this stage.
The only mods done by the previous owner are the wheels wich to my opinion are awefull
and a K&N 57i induction kit.

I binned the wheels and pud some white ones in 17 inch wich i still had from one of my old cars.:

i also swapped the original rear wiper for an Peugeot 206 one wich looks a lott cleaner imho:

I changed the Original licenceplate lights for some LED's:

The imrc was not working anymore so i replaced it with a new one.
Made a picture of the enginebay:

I bought a nice set of Original 18 inch Focus RS wheels and had them powdercoated white:

I was Always crazy about white wheels, especialy on a blue car so it was no surprise i was happy with this mod

Bought an RS pack spoiler and had it painted in the wright colour:

Amazing how such a small mod like this can change the whole look of the car.
I love it

Had some gelbadges for the centercaps of the wheels custom made:

Now it was time for a little bit more power so i tuned the car with a Bluefinn chip.

After chiptunig we went to a dyno meet with a few members from focusclub Holland with only Focus ST and RS models.
Was a nice meet with a lot of power all day

Took some pictures when my ST170 was on the dyno:

It made a nice 178 BHP and 204 Nm of torque so was happy with the results so far.

Unfortunetly the rear wheel bearings where screwed so replaced the rear hubs with new ones:

I got some problems with the clutch and at first i thought it was te master cilinder so replaced it with a new one:

Unfortunetly that was not the problem so a mate towed me to his place and we would take a further look there.
The towing was done by his nice Focus RS:

After getting of the gearbox the problem was pretty obvious:

This was o good so i ordered a new Clutch set from the U.S. including a new flywheel.
Also the thermostat housing was leaking so replaced that with a new one as well.

In the mean time it was a good time for me to give the wheels a good clean:

Old and new clutch:

I was very happy with the new clutch and having the oppertunity to drive my Focus again.
But after i put the RS wheels on the first time it was pretty Obvious that the Focus needed some lowering so i bought a set of KW variant 1 coilovers 2nd hand. so time to swap it with the Original suspension.

I could not be more pleased with the result after lowering:

So happy i thought it would be a good excuse to take some pictures

Now i only needed to outline!?!?!? the car:

Everything was working fine on the ST170 so i thought it would be a good time to take some care of the looks on the car, so i started by giving it a good clean:

After washing it was time for some clay:

Mind blowng the amount of dirt coming off the car when you hink its clean.
After that i went to a friend who has a dap so we dapped the ST170:

We dapped the car two times, first with a rough compound and the 2nd time with a fine compound.
After that we put on some pourboys black hole for a nice wet look of the paint and finaly finnished it off with pourboys Natty's paste wax.
Here is the result:

I bet nobody has ever seen this car so clean

Herman! Such a beautiful car to begin with, and now it looks 100% better. How many KMs? Pics of the interior? As you can see, I have a red '04 SVT, and I just love it. Keep us apprised of further mods/improvements. Great photos too.
