yeah black is the best looking color for interior IMO. here's a thought, maybe you should paint your mirror caps gloss black? i'll probably doing that soon as well as my hatch trim.

Here is the how to on removing the insert that the plastic trim is attached to:

Once you get the insert out, there are 6 tabs behing it that you will have to carefully pop off. If you don't remove that plastic peice from the back of the insert, you'll break all the tabs holding it there.

it's really a whole lot more trouble than it's worth.

also forgot to ask, what percent tint do you have? i might have asked this before but i forgot.. lol

Don't northern trying to remove those plastic strips on the inserts, you pretty Mich have to break them off. They are plastic welded on.

Stephen, time to tackle that engine, needs moar clean.

I see, the ones I did weren't plastic welded, but it really is too much of a pain than it's really worth.

But def concentrate on the engine

Ive thought about that. I half thought about getting SVT mirrors because one of mine is lose. I was going to get my car painted (before I got the rims and lowering kit) and I was going to remove all the trim as well.

Im pretty sure its 15%. I could ask my buddy because we both got ours tinted together the same tint. I know it wasnt the lowest. My friends dad (the one I went with) has a tdi jetta with 5% tint. In the dark it sucks. lol

Yeah I need to. I definetly need to clean it. Its alot better than it was but I want to conquer alot of the rust this summer. Plus maybe a header wrap for the header I just got.

Okay so now that im caught up to everyone, here is a couple mini little updates if you can call them that. lol The guy I ordered the lowering kit from said it shipped from his supplier. so hopefully I will have it within 2 weeks. Since I removed my roofrack, my mpg shot up for sure. I honestly havent been paying attention. Once I got back to 30 I was fine with it. Well Ive gone 85 miles and I am still on the edge of the full gauge....lol
