Well I took my car to the dealer on Monday (it's still there - but I'll leave that alone for now...) and of course they say they can't hear any of the rattles. Now, I heard them when I was driving the car to the dealer so I can't imagine they magically disappeared when it arrived there. Still, not much I can force them to do when they say they can't hear anything.

I told them of three... the one in the pax door or under the pax seat, one in the console directly under the center of the MFT display, and one above the overhead console in front of the sunroof.

The rattle ended up coming back and took it to the dealer. It ended up being the passenger seat track. They adjusted and lubed the track and so far, no more rattle.

This is helpful, thank you. I've had a feeling it was something under the seat. Mine sounds like it just needs to be tightened up or something. Weekend project!!

I had that issue too. I put a piece of foam under the vent to keep it from bouncing around and have not heard it since.

I thought mine was the vent, but I took that vent all the way out and I still hear it so I'm going to try the seat track idea.

I have the same noise but from the driver side. I took the car back to the dealer but the stretch of highway they drove the car on made too much road noise. I plan on taking it back and taking them on a smoother stretch of highway. The noise drives me crazy especially when this car does not have 1200 miles on it.

Hey TiPilot,

Glad I came across your post. The picture included in the PM is making it difficult for me to reply. Can you resend the PM without the picture, and include the current mileage. Thanks!

Hi 12RedHotHatch, wgilles & bassmobile,

In the event the rattle returns, the weekend project is not possible and the foam protests, , please make an appointment with your dealer and PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can get this escalated to the Customer Service Manager for your area.

hi all~ i wanted to report that my dealer successfully located that rattle i was getting on the passenger side, seemingly coming from either inside the door or outside of the car once i hit about 60+ mph.

the mechanic said he found that the steel fuel line and brake line coming off of the master cylinder were 'a bit loose' so he suspected they might have been vibrating on each other in the under-car turbulence, and he either bound them together, or some other miracle action and it has solved my problem!

I hope this bit of info gives someone else something to pinpoint!
