Thanks a lot! On the other site I was "informed" that I wasn't the first to do this, but I failed to find any info on it before. I just want it to be known that it can be done and is a fairly inexpensive and an easy alternative to buying an svt or mach 1 lip, and definately more durable than the home depot lip!

I never said I was the first to do, I just said I never heard of it being done. that entire post didn't say anything about his new lip which is probably why I did find that when I did my research. oh well

i like this idea. good thinking bluezx3
i like the flared ends. might try this, but not sure if i would pay for a full bumper to use the bottom 3"..

Yeah, I didn't want to pay for a whole bumper either, but the price was right. Another junk yard wanted $45 for the whole bumper or $20 for me to take that section of it. I just decided to go with $25 for the whole bumper and I still have the lights that were on it to play with...

yeah, i suppose that's a good deal. i'm gonna see if i can find an SVT lip, if not, i'll probably go for this mod. the home depot lip seems to be very flimsy..
