My new custom lip, not the home depot lip!

Well today I decided to go to the junk yard and look for a 00-04 front bumper, my plan was to cut off the lower portion of the bumper, flip it upside down and make my own lip. I've never heard of anyone else doing this so I thought I'd try.

I kinda sanded it down, didn't want to spend a lot of time with it, drilled holes and ensured fitment, painted it primer black then attached it like you would any other lip. It kind of flares out on the sides but I think that looks pretty cool. Let me know what you think!

Thank you! I've been sitting on this idea for about 6 months, just finally got around to doing it. The bumper at the junk yard cost $25, then I bought sandpaper, primer, small bolts and clips. I guess total it cost me about 30-40. I wasn't lucky enough to find a bumper in good shape the same color as mine, that would be ideal. But not too bad IMO

Wow, that looks good, really nice work! Too bad it won't work for the 05-07.

That looks really nice. What part of the bumper did you use for the lip?

He used the bottom of the bumper. lol I am going to do this! I am going to my local junkyard on Saturday anyways to get a new bumper and hopefully a seat. I will take the bottom of the bumper from my old bumper and try this
