Dash Kit LCD Media Control upgrade

Well I've always wanted this, but never really tried for two reasons.

Couldn't find a dash kit for my focus and the price issue.

My question now is what I'm trying to do is fit a nice touch screen for my radio controls and all that good stuff. I'll invest a pretty penny but I want it to look nice, I'm not a fan of those screens people mount on top of their dash controls or screens that pop out.

Does anyone have experience with this dash kit converter and this radio system or recommend anything better? I'm kinda more lenient towards Kenwood cause thats what my whole sound system is made out of.

That will work fine.

The radio is a standard Double-DIN (meaning any other Double-DIN would also work), but Kenwood does come with Garmin navigation, so that is a plus.

The only possible issue I could see with it is that the unit uses a motorized face to load CD's and potentially sometimes that creates an issue with the dash kits. I wouldn't expect it to, and personally, I always listen to USB and if you use that or an iPhone/iPod, the motorized face won't matter anyway. (From an online picture of a similar unit with the face rotated, I wouldn't expect that to be an issue either.)

You'll need a wiring harness and probably an antenna adapter, but it should work fine.

There is one other concern that I forgot about. The upper radio display with the clock and station info shows DVD if you use the PAC harness - I'm not sure what happens with the Metra XSVI-5520-NAV harness. There are workarounds in the thread above depending on how much it bothers you - but I think they are untested.
