There must be some difference in the dashboards between our cars.

Does your OBDII door have the indentation to pull the door down?

Door open......

When I plug in the connector, it sticks out a bit....

and the indentation hits the connector so the door won't close....

It's my understanding from the Utragauge thread that the OBD II connector itself can be detached (unclipped) from its mounting point on the dash. This will allow you to push the connector back into the dash farther and close the access panel.

I can't verify this however, as I don't have my 2012 yet.

Good catch, I never noticed the clips on the side of the connector. I just did that to mine and the door closes just fine.

I love my scangauge2. Its really nice to be able to monitor what my focus is doing. Its also great for monitoring and adjusting your driving style to help save gas.

Anyone else having an issue when using the "LOD" (load) gauge? Mine's reading wildly inaccurate - says I'm at 80% load at IDLE

No, i did not detach anything... it all just fit fine.... no alterations to either the car or the scangauge.....

My plug detached so I was able to move it back so the ODB2 connector can fit and the door can close. I have the Dash Commander app for my IPad and Iphone and use on long trips to gauge my milage. Works nicely. Would love to see what the best speed/milage is for highway speeds.

If you use the search option I'm pretty sure you will be able to find the thread that has the mpg curve. Not sure if he used a scan gauge but I've gotten very similar results in my 5 speed.

Does the scangauge (or other OBDII) reader give a HP number in avg or real time?
As stupid as it may sound I'm curious about HP on 93 vs 87 fuel in the 2012 Focus. The scangauge website says that it does but im skeptical. I am also planning on getting a new intake and it would be good to see that as well. Suppose I wouldn't need accurate results just results are are consistent when being inaccurate (to see gains in HP if there are any)
