Obviously you missed it. The point was how much power could be made with that particular setup. It was stated that this was not advised on a stock motor.

Stated or not creating a high HP time bomb is not that impressive. How hard is it to strap a big turbo to any modern 4cyl and make 400ish to the wheels? Now if it stayed together this may be worth mentioning.

HP = (TQ x RPM) / 5252. Basically, if you can get the tq to carry high into the RPM range, you'll make HP. Its the forumla honda's, and F1 cars, use. The limit for rods isn't HP, its the tq. So if you can limit the tq down low and bring it up slowly (like here) it can produce lots of GO and allow you to retain that stock engine. Several people with duratecs are into the 260-300 whp range but limit their wtq to below 250 for longeveity and overall reliability. Having a peak tq occuring down low can create lots of wheel spin and can snap rods. Talk to people with k04's and similar sized turbos (MS3, GTI) that spool quick.

I dont think you will find any one "limiting" the TQ by choice , your making it sound like they pick the parts so they wont have much TQ and the engine will last longer and I dont think thats whats happening

If you want to see how much power a kit can produce then put it on a motor that can handle the power.

If I had rods to waste and a GT3582 lying around...I'd do it. And so would all of you. That's bad ass Tom. Appreciate the result post :)
