So everyone safe after today? have fun shoveling? I think I spent about 5-6 hours on my drive and still have a bit left. put down a bunch of salt on what i did shovel so hopefully it's easy to clean off in the morning. Just hope the drive to Omaha tomorrow goes well.

We were expected to get 7-11". I'm guessing at the deepest point on my drive was 6". They canceled school yesterday and today. UNL canceled classes yesterday too and they never cancel classes. The forecast got everyone hyped up but the storm didn't deliver.

I think we got almost 9" here the Dart got to sit out in the snow while the focus was in the garage lol

Well I made it up to Omaha today. I will say MO road crews are nothing compared to those in IA an NE. got into IA and the roads were fine. However I made the decision to take the Bronco on this trip instead of the matrix due to weather and in case anything happened and I was right. About half way between platte city and st joe I hit some black ice and spun out. ended up backwards in the median up against the cable rails. only took about 10-15 mintues to get back out (in two feet of snow), but did cause a bit of damage. just glad i came prepared with a shovel and all. Here's what happened. Could have been much worse. One cable hit the middle of the light and shattered it; second hit the bottom of the panel and bent it in some. should be easy to get fixed though.
