That sounds horrible lol

Not acetone or any other aggresive chemical. Reason >> Assume that the paint is simply laying on top of the leather. Any sort of aggresive softening agent would melt the paint deeper into the poors. I would be more tempted to try a fine sandpaper (or try your fingernail as suggested) to see how 'stuck' the paint is. Maybe some 'gentle-ish' agitation could remove most of it.

All doors at once? (I have the wiring manual for our year).

It's done it before then stopped. Like I was leaving the boyfriend's house. I opened the back door to put my jacket in there, closed it, walked over to his car, then heard my car lock. Keys still in the ignition. Ugh. He took me to my house to get the spare. We got back, I unlocked it, and it started automatically unlocking or clicking like it was unlocking, then lock. Never once did I hit a "Lock/Unlock" button. It'll do it while the car is running, driving, reversing, etc.

I will offer to simplistic causes for your consideration. 1: In one of the front doors, the motor/switch (which houses the switch logic for 'central lock') has been compromised (most likely other than the actual occupant switches. But that is an opinion only). 2: You have a defective transponder. Reasoning >> You prob have a set of keys (with associated transponder) that you use 95% of the time. As this device is subject to abuse by you, the weather, some rough handling from time to time. My 1st guess would target 'it'. Testing. Put your normal set of keys someplace safe, away from your car (our wrapped in tinfoil if necessary) and use the other set until such time as the condition re-occurs. If, after X time goes by without re-occurance, you prob have found the issue. Note: It did do a quicky 'ground check'. A bad ground would not cause this (switches are not configured properly).
