Alright so friday evening after work i decided to try my hand at doing some exhaust mods on my car. I was going to take off the muffler (lunchbox) in the back and the resonator in the front while leaving in the pre-muffler just in front of the tire. Got everything cut out right before dark so i just buttoned up what i could and decided to take it to an exhaust shop in the morning.

Saturday morning, I hopped in the car and fired it up open manifold (omg it sounded beast mode) started down the road and man is open headers loud around 2k rpm. Everything said and done the shop charged me 70$ to wheld in a pipe to replace the resonator and pipe for the muffler (lunchbox). The car sounds great!

now, it might sound different from a 04zx3 to a 2010 ses

with 1st gen's, the more you take out from the stock exhaust, the more raspy it gets... although, i am wanting to take out one of the resonators under the car. already did the lunch box delete + cat delete.

Yea duratec's give off a loud deep sound the more stuff you take off. The more you open them up too with wider pipes the deeper they sounds. I rolled around for a day with it dumped.... I wont be doing that again. imagine my vid x 1000 and right under the cab lol. It literaly hurt to drive it.

Hehe, yea, I figured there's no way mine would sound like his... just wanted to hear it anyway. I want something (cheap) to open it up a little more for a bit more power, but I also don't want people to hear me coming from a mile away. LOL
