2012 intake question

I have a 2012, 5 speed MT, and I was looking into the minor performance upgrades for a 2012 that's available. Is there an K&N filter I can buy for a 2012? Or does it fall into the same category as the tuners as 'not available yet' type deal.

Items are actually starting to hit the market. Both FSWerks and Steeda have intake kits out now. FSWerks also has an exhaust available.

Although no tuning is yet out, just adding an intake and exhaust has shown significant gains on an NA motor.

This. Best bang for your buck right there. 17whp off an intake & exhaust is definitely worth it.

That's a pretty decent upgrade -- how much cash for each of the upgrades? How much louder is it now?

Since fuel mileage is driven mostly by the 1500-3000 rpm range and these upgrades don't improve much in that range I don't see it having much effect on gas mileage.

About $200-300 for intake...
About $450-500 for exhaust...
(only talking Steeda and FSWERKS, there are others but you could spend a fortune and not see gains any larger)

Intake will effect sound
Exhaust will effect sound

Go remove your air box cover and drive around the block, that'll give you an idea on intake sound.

Do a YouTube search for 2012 Focus and FSWERKS exhaust, great vids are there...
