GAZ coilovers
Does anyone have any pics of the GAZ coilover kit offered by BAT Inc installed on a Focus?? I'm not sure if the kit wil work with the Dominate rear control arms. I searched old threads and found so info on this topic, but all of the pics were deleted.

It be great if they just sold the front coilovers only.
I'd be great if they sold just the front, huh. I'd think they would thou, since you'd be using the springs w/o the GAZ adjustment & use Dom's arms perch height adjustment. And what do you think of the Spax kit?

bump on an old thread, but since winter is around the corner I'm still in the market for a kit for the Spring.
Felix, my perches are all the way down on Dom's rear arms now. Are the springs in the GAZ kit shorter than the RS springs I have now? I'm thinking if they are shorter than that will give all the height adjustment I need by using the perches on the arms.

You could aways grab your old springs & cut 1.5 coils off. Thats what I did yrs ago when I had FRPP's K/W springs The rear sat up higher, so I took 1.5 coils out of the oem springs w/ no issues. It doesn't hurt the springs from a material stand point. I saw a couple of pix w/ Dom's arms= In one the perchs were down & in another the perchs were sitting higher. As far as RS springs, I guess they are similiar to svt's. So I'd say any lowering spring would be shorter.

yeah I'm thinking the springs are shorter than the RS springs. The RS springs are the same height as the FRPP kit springs, but the RS springs feel a bit stiffer.
I think I'm going to order the GAZ kit from BAT Inc. I looked at the Spax kit and have done some research on it. Some people have said that making height adjustments is a pain in the nutz.

oh yeah I like the H&R kit that FSW and Tirerack sells but that kit doesn't have a damping adjustment. I really like have the adjustability to dial in my suspension myself.

OK I am definitely going with the GAZ coil over kit. I have a question and would like some recommendations.
BAT has the following option: As an option, we can supply additional 2 1/2 i.d. front springs in either 8" or 9" free length in a range from 250- 500# in 25# increments. What spring should I go with? My car will see some light track use next Spring. But mostly street use. That being said I'm not sure what spring I should go with. Thoughts??

I'd run the spring's that the kit comes w/. As you can order other spring's later if needed. There is still a lot of adjustment w/ the damping, tire pressure, tire brand, sway bars, bushings, arms & the main thing driving style & pratice.
