Both my Mach and Focus are lowered (eibachs). The Focus does have a nice "go kart" type feel, but there is nothing like walking the rear end into/through a corner using the throttle. I think my Focus responds a little quicker initially, but I gotta give the edge to the (at least mine) Mustang. Of course the mach is more or less set up for drags from the factory, but RWD and TONS of torque seem to have the edge. Probably pretty close on a VERY tight course, but if there is any straight at all........it'll be the Stang....going, going....gone.

Depends on the year really. Back with the mk 1 focus, it was definately quicker around the corners than a stock GT. A stock SVT can take on just about any mustang made, up until the latest model, those things are pretty damn respectable in the corners.

Depends on where you are racing. I've beaten/beat Mustangs at every single autocross i attend. I even beat them when i ran my Zx3 on the FRPP suspension. Last season when i ran my SVT out at Miller Motorsports Park (road track) i beat two Mustang GT's, not by much, but i finished ahead of them. i doubt my zx3 (2.0) could hang with them on the road course.

here is an easy solution, get a Miata and you will show him what's up! ZOOM ZOOM!

Autocross track you'll beat them everytime..and has alot to do with driver. Was on fords proving grounds with 32 mustangs and can hang with them, but if your on road course with them they'll get u in straits

well from my stand point any FWD lowered car with a good supsenion kit that allows pretty much no body roll will hit the apex every time and sling shot out of the corners know a RWD car in this case a stang will have to slow down even more then the focus just to stop from kickin its tail out so in the corners moded (focus) vs stock (stang) im voting on the focus in the corners
