Rebuilding an SPI

So i had a spare SPI engine laying around and decided to rebuild it for the lack of something better to do.

Cleaned and pressure checked and machined the block .020ths or .50mm oversize. Cleaned and polished the crankshaft. Decked the cylinder head surface on the block .015ths.

I will post up some pics this weekend.

Parts used.

Speed-Pro piston set w/coated skirts
Hastings moly rings
Mahle main and rod bearings
Melling oil pump
ASC water pump

Rebuilt the head with new valves, valve seats, replaced the guides as necessary, new Speed-Pro cam and lifters and valve stem seals.
