duct tape? really? and leaving it alone would prob cancel the effect of a "cold air intake" when the day is hot out

its actually fiberglass adhesive, just like the one used to wrap headers but this one is aluminum covered to repel heat to insulate it inside. I double coated it. then tape inside and the thick one outside. function > form

Which K&N filter is on the end of that? I've got a "Spectre" branded one on my cheap (meaning "universal" and not for my car) intake right now...thinking of going with this intake setup you have. Just curious about the filter you got on there.
