I used them once with no problem. As far as I know they are nothing more than a centralized parts locator for junkyards and parts are shipped from said yards, at least mine was. But I'll do a bit of research.
Been awhile since I've dealt with them.

I have one from a 2000 manual 2dr. Its a different code but idk if it matters or if you can get it reflashed to your code. LMK if you are interested. I also have a sct chip for it if you are interested.

I just remember reading that somewhere... but then again it was for engines and stuff.

You need to match the codes exactly, and then get the keys programmed for it. I'll take a look for an ECU here in the u-pull yard, they charge $16.99, but you're hoping at that price that it works.

Sorry, none in the scrap yard here.

I found out that there is a matching ecu at a scrap yard one province over so I might have to try that.

Alrighty! So I ended up finding and ordering a blank ECU that I can get setup to work with my car. Would you guys have any ideas as to what exactly I can get this tuning guy to do for a little extra power? I know about Air/fuel ratio stuff, valve timing, etc. but are there any particular numbers or details I can provide the guy with? Thanks for everyone's help so far!

Tom

Not sure exactly, but the mechanic who told me it was burnt out may have actually lied as I caught him in a few others later on. I plan to take the old one to the dealership just to confirm it's burnt out now.
