514 H.P. focus

Check out the latest muscle mustangs and fast fords for an article on a focus motor being pimped to 514 at 29 lbs of boost..pretty good article. they saw mid 300's on the stock bottom end impressive.

Ya that thing is BADASS, That would be FUN to drive.. blow away alot of mustangs also, 514hp with 412 lb ft. and 1/2 the weight of a muscle car!

But it would not do 514 after it left the dyno they doctored the numbers by using a cooler full of ice on the Pass side of the dyno on the floof and the hood will never close with the air to water intercooler sitting there on the valve cover ,,You can see the hoses going over the fender

With that size turbo and all the stuff they have on that car it is a total waste to only be making 514HP

I agree Tom, the motorcycle industry is full of " dyno-queens " that only make real big number for dyno shoot outs and stuff, still I thought it would be of some interest to most of the focus guys on here, especially many of them that don't understand all the work...I wanted to ask you, I know you were on a stock bottom end for a while ..are you still? you have turned like 440 on fuel right?, thats still way more than the tires can deal with I'm sure...On premium pump gas on the street ( and to me that is why I like your car...key word..on the street) where are you h.p. wise at an everyday basis??
