yeah i'm seriously thinking of putting some EBC pads, is this a big no no for stock class or the next class up from stock?

It varies region to region...
My local scca is pretty lax about vehicle classes. Last year I ran my Mustang in GS but it was definitely not eligible. (Neither were some of the other GS cars haha)

As long as the brakes are the same size as OEM I don't think it will be a problem. I run Hawk HPS pads. Did well on course, and still running strong after 30k miles and 2 autox seasons

If you look at the STS results you'll see me. If you look at the PRO results, you'll see (Former National Champion) Jason Frank about 2.8 seconds faster in a SpecCivic. My Focus was daily driven on H&R race springs and Konis and only had 6.5" wide wheels...not even close to a full-on ST build. ![]() Was also the fastest street-tire car, and 4th overall at at a National Focus meet in South Bend in 2005 (sponsored by a different Focus web forum). Sedans do just fine.

I AutoX my sedan and the only change I made to it was and intake and SVT shocks and springs. I am fairly competetive considering the low powered engine. This thread made me wonder though. Is there some reason that the hatchback is better for AutoX? It seems like it wouldn't make any difference.

you'll do just fine in a sedan, my wife.TWERPIE1 runs her wagon in st then FSP and does pretty good. A lot has to do with driver and car set up...tire pressures & what not. and LOTS of PRACTICE just have a great time, you will get faster with experience

I do pretty well in my wagon. I'm now in SMF since I took out the back seat. The wagon has a nice balance but I've also got springs,shocks, a custom tune by Tom, a short ram, headers, 3inch exhaust and hawk HPS pads.

I want to run my sedan this year to get a feel for it. I want to run the stock class so Im not putting a bunch of money into the car. I will probably suck because even though I like to pretend I am a race car driver, I am really not haha
