Domestics - Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep - that whole grouping of brands is horrible from just about every standpoint - reliability, fuel economy, handling, performance etc.
Foreign - I guess Toyota/Scion/Lexus - although very reliable and good on gas, they are the least passionate auto manufacturer in the world, the polar oppasite of D/C/J.
although VW/Audi is a close second for foreign dislike; reliabiltiy? easy to work on? nope.

As Matrix said, they are the "apple" of the automotive industry. I dont so much as the cars as the people that drive them. Again thoguh, this doesnt mean I have every VW or every VW owner, just 98% of them

My least favorite manufacturers would have to be Chrysler and GM. Shit cars plain and simple. Although, I am sad about Pontiac getting chopped. I liked the look of the G6s and, even tough they weren't actual Pontiacs, just rebranded Holdens, the G8 and the GTO were quite nice as well. Plus I wanted one of those damn Utes... I can't understand how they got dissolved but the miserable failure that is Buick lives on and Cadillac for that matter. The New Standard of the World? What world?

I have owned four Volkswagens and currently own two. They are some of the best cars I have driven. I don't understand the reliability problems everyone has. My '99 Passat has over 245,000Mi on it with no problems and that 2.8L V6 is one of the best engines, IMO, built. That's just me though.

Toyota, because I've seen some incredibly bad build quality on their cars of the past 10 years or so. Chrysler because... Well, do I really have to say it? Seriously? I do? Ok, fine. They make complete crap. My father had a 2003 Sebring Limited Conv't. That thing was falling apart after 2 years... I was SO happy when he dumped it.
