Door Edge Protectors...

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Found this video on Youtube - has any one heard anything about these - whether they are third party add-ons or available on foreign models??

IMO its a great concept - all cars should have them to "protect" one another from parking lot mishaps and over zealous children getting out of cars...

Seems to me they'd protect the doors of the vehicle they're installed on nicely but they wouldnt stop dents on the car they hit if was was hard enough.Wouldnt help me anyway,I park in the back 40 of parking lots and come out to find a 15yr old heap parked 2ft away...
They still dont take driver respect out of the equation.

Too bad these don't work in reverse, since I am careful when opening my doors while others who park next to me do not.

so you're going to pay good money to protect yourself from yourself. Besides, they break up the lines of the car

More along the lines of the protecting the kids from damaging others - when they are not as gentle as they should be.

Teach your kids to be careful instead of just giving them an excuse to be oblivious to the car next to your's. Just an unwanted expense I'd not want on my car and I'm more worried about the other driver and not myself.

I noticed the exhaust tip when the car pulled in the parking spot, must be German OEM, anyone have a part number for that?
