Me and the GF are planning on getting a hotel. Anyone know a good place in dallas to have some fun. I mean I know the TFR is can't be beat but my GF wants to do something sunday before we head back to H-Town.

Depends on what you want to do ... if you are into shopping ... the DFW area off of 75 (Central Expressway ... the highway name for 45 through Dallas) is a good area to get a hotel. And you can also check out Midevil Times over there. And tons of great restaurants in that area. If you want a bit of fun, go find Dick's Last Resort restaurant ... go there with an open mind.

There is a place in Dallas also that has people that serve you in dressed up characters ... I don't remember the name of the place. But I was served once by the mad hatter ... and they acted as their character. cool.

There is the West End area around the JFK shooting area.

OR ... if you are into the country the crowd, ride over to Fort Worth and stay close to the StockYards. Some good shopping and very country feel with people on horses and plenty of cowboys and cowgirls to hang out. That is on 35W highway.

If you want to check out a great touristy mall ... go to the Galleria (North 75 and 635) ... or if you want an AFFORDABLE touristy mall, go to Grapevine Mall North 121.

Ray I've been to that place, I had CPT jack sparrow serve me. It's funny cause they even autograph things as their character. All I can remember is it's next to a hooters.

Oh the Dallas aquarium is cool. It's like a zoo but no cages and you start at like the top of the trees in a rainforest and work your way down. Best part... THEY HAVE PENGUINS!!!! But I don't think it's open on Sunday's
