2008 focus rough idle

hey guys my fiancee's 08 focus has a HORRIBLE vibration at idle. the whole car shakes and the seats give you a free massage. it only happens at idle. the car doesn't have any performance issues that i can see. as soon as you give the car gas to take off it smooths out. i have noticed, however, that the RPMs fluctuate slightly at idle (maybe 100-200 RPM). i'm thinking it's probably the IAC. does that sound right?

thanks

Hi jmsjag,

Personally, I wouldn't mind the massage , however, not with major vibrations throughout the vehicle. Have you had a dealer take a look at the Focus for this issue? If you haven't, give them a call and set up an appointment. If you have without resolution for this concern, send me a PM with VIN, current mileage, personal and dealer contact info and I'll escalate to the regional Customer Service Manager.
