As far as the video goes well I haven't see anyone even able to get close to that level of flexibility. If your bumper could do that then the stress cracks wouldn't be happening from it just being pulled in a little. I've seen regular fiberglass bumpers that you could bend a little and leave it that way without any cracks. Maybe they need to add more flex into the duraflex? Still like the bumper though. The brackets are an easy fix. Now only concerned about the stress cracks and the possibility of them progressing into something worse. Curious to see if your remedy fixes the issue. Otherwise I may go the Pro DTM route since I like that bumper alot as well. Keep us updated and don't forget the pics. Really helpful.

As far as the flaring goes, I've seen some F2 bumpers flared so I'm not all surprised these ones are flared slightly.
Either way, if I get this bumper down the road (and I think I will), hopefully they put more "flex" in the Duraflex to stop any premature cracking. Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using FF Mobile |

To put in some of my own experience....the other thing that has to be understood is that fiberglass and composite products have a certain degree of sensitivity to climate differences. Fiberglass CAN warp/shrink/expand/etc. so it's going to be different on every car. It also has a bit to do with how your car went together from the factory, ever take out a bolt where your fender mounts? you can move your fenders in or our almost a half inch from where the bolt is centered in the mounting holes.....and every car has different tolerances from assembly. I bet if you pushed your fenders out a little bit the effect on the amount of flair the bumper has would be exponential. I.E. open up the gap between the hood and fender maybe a 1/16th to an 1/8" and see if it still flares out 2.5" as you say.

![]() ![]() i know its kinda a crappy cell pic. but this is the pic i took right after mounting it, i hadnt touched the bottom yet. you can also see under the headlight just how much it bowed at the top it actually pushed my headlight up, plus you can see how much it flared at the bottom. im not sure if moving the fender 1/16" to 1/8" can help that much.

That is alot of flare. Definitely has to be pulled in too look right. Adjusting the fender won't help much with that. Hopefully your fixes will solve the issue of stress cracks cuz I would really like to get this bumper. Since its fglass it should be able to be bonded to for reinforcement.

Yup, more flare than I thought but still looks good after it's brought in.
Maybe there's a way ED can modify their moulds? Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using FF Mobile |

wow, that's really poor fitment. I did my best to defend, but that's really poor. did that bubble under the headlight go away after you pulled in the bottom corners?

Due to the nature of fiberglass, we can not guarantee fitment. All our products are made to the closest OEM standards possible, but since they are all hand made minor differences can occur. Also, with the vast possibilities of why products do not fit perfectly, such as accidents, heat, poor installation, etc, it is very difficult to guarantee perfect fitment. We do, however, guarantee satisfaction on our products. If for any reason you are not satisfied with what you ordered, simply contact us to return the product and receive a refund. Most of the time these bumpers don't go on right on out of the box. Little to minor modification might be required. Such as sanding, shaving, trimming, etc. I believe you guys are expecting a perfect product for pennies on the dollar. By perfect I mean right out of the box, no work required. When that is not the case.
