From UrbanDictionary.com (this is slang, after all)

4. (adj.) jury-rigged, improvised, or home-made (usually with extremely cheap or sub-standard components), yet still deserving of an odd sense of respect from ghetto dwellers and non-ghetto dwellers alike

I am with you; if they are done well there is nothing ghetto about them...esp on a dark car.

For the record VHT NiteShade is a transparent black spray(basically a mix of color and clear), designed to appear solid black when not illuminated. Oh, and seeing as how this product is used for its' intended purpose(not -rigged or sub-standard) and is more expensive than regular spray paint, I'm gonna go ahead and say this is not ghetto. Ghetto would be doing it with the cheapest can of black rattle can crap from walmart, and likely spraying them while still on the car.

Back to the topic presented by the OP. Lamin X is pure garbage, IMO. I would rather sand some spray off than deal with the "adhesive" properties of Lamin X ever again. You are correctly in that they don't ever seem to fit quite right. In some cases, it's damn close, but I've never seen it perfect(at least up close and looking for flaws).

The process isn't ghetto. The look may be perceived as ghetto. I don't like the look, so I don't have it on my car. Doesn't mean no one else should do it.

Yeah, I got that sentiment from your previous posts.

Guess I need to be a little more direct. Please stay on topic, which quite frankly has nothing to do with taste or personal preference when tinting exterior lights, but rather the issue of fitment and whether others had similar issues. We are all aware that You aren't a fan, as You have made plainly clear, so it's time to move on.

Not saying you don't have a right to disagree, just pointing out the simple fact that this thread like so many others, has taken a nice little side trip to Offtopicopia, and it's my job to get it back on track.
