The backside of the mirror looks like the ones that are pictured on Rock Auto's site! I have had customer's use their original mirror caps because they didn't want to paint the aftermarket ones.

I agree with you they should look the same as illustrated, but errors happen. The problem with replicating a OEM part is that they cannot be "exactly" the same there has to be something that has been changed! Usually its on minor things like how the mirror cap mounts or no heated symbol on the mirror glass or something as simple as a casting line on the bottem.

If RA would have put in the description that it wasn't OEM and that it was a "direct replacement for part number xxxxxx" then I prolly would have called and asked if I could get the OEM style because the description would have sent up a flag for me. As far as the various mfr, the guy I talked to said they had no control over that. I can understand that, but like I stated before, had they noted that in the description, I prolly would have called. I've order several things over the internet and got exactly what was pictured.
