Okay, from now on, I'm an expert installing HID on canadian focus 2012 - WITH DRL -. I have saw many issues... I installed some kits on many of FF's focus owners.
It works perfectly with day time running lights (when light are off, on and on auto)
Plus, i Installed a switch on my car than allows me to close my headlights and run only with fogs open (looks sexy with fogs + LED bar !) - NO BULB ERROR, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT !

If you need assistance contact me ! klotche_8@hotmail.com

Nice work with the HID's, the location of the DRL's is perfect. I wanted to know if you ran new wire or spliced into the factory's for your speaker install? I haven't attempted it yet but I think it's going to be a prob getting some speaker wire snaked through the factor door boots. More of impossible than a problem I should say.

I did not have any problems with the speakers (front and rear door)
I only had to drill new holes for the screw (cause their emplacement weren't at the same place of course....)
The OEM wire of the speakers comes in a quick connecting mount... but you only have to cut this plug and assemble the 2 wires to the right pole of your new speaker.... it isn't really hard... ( i cut those quick clip, but i left some wire on them, in case i want to re-assemble the original speakers...)
For the tweeters, i had to by pass on the door speakers wires (putting in a resistance, so that my tweeters don't start playing bass - it limits the frequence that can go to my tweeters), cause my SE model didn't have any wires in the tweet slot...

hope this helps. (it isn't impossible, every wires are accessible and easy to recognize)

Can you do a How-To? I went to my local HID guy and he says all the new mk3's lighting is controlled by the computer, so normal HID kits won't work? Guess I might have to do it myself =\

I was thinking about making a video from step 1 to the end... it might take a while though.... Send me your e mail in private?

I don't know if your use to wires and all that stuff, I have already made a diagram with all the appropriate wires that I scanned on my computer.
I also took lot of pictures explaining what each wire is about, and how connections were made.
I could send you this asap

(10 months HID installed, No problems yet.)
