Does this just use the stock shift knob and does it have a boot and will it fit a 2003 zx3?

non-svt, uses stock knob or any aftermarket variant that fits the stock shifter. I do not have the boot, it uses the stock shift boot....

How would a short shifted still use the stock boot? Any interest in trading for an audiophile enclosure and amp

ALL short shifters retain use of the stock shift boot....the shifter is only roughly 1" shorter, and the stud where the linkage mounts to is a little further away from the pivot point (more leverage=shorter throw)... the boot is just more "poofy" I guess is the word for it.

I already have an audiophile setup, and I'm not really looking for trades....

I'm not sure, as it was in a wrecked car I purchased to part-out a while back and just found this cleaning up the garage, the rest of the car is gone. The knob that was on this was really beat up so I tossed it. There aren't really any signs of wear on any of the linkage studs or on the main ball where it mounts into the shift tower.....I wouldn't think it was used for very long.
