I'm not sure the duratec has this problem.

I am a huge fan of synthetics but, they can really open seeps into leaks. They penetrate much further and have more detergents to handle longer change intervals. Rule of thumb, if you have leaks or seepage and are using conventional oils, stay with them, synthetic will open those and clean away all dirt.

probably going to be fine if that's your only leak, change the gasket, don't over tighten.

Cool. thanks for the info and the tips. It hasn't even lost enough oil to go down on the dipstick more than maybe a couple millimeters on about 4.5k miles so I'm not that worried about it. I will change it for sure and already have the part, but I'm gonna wait until the temps are a little higher outside since it doesn't really need to be done right away.

The passenger motor mount is getting changed this weekend for sure though. After reading on here, and my shop telling me it needs to be done and would "make the car feel brand new" I'm going to do that ASAP b/c my car does vibrate quite a bit w/ OEM mounts and 74k miles.
