Debadged "Sync powered by Microsoft"

Hey guys,

I don't know about you, but I hate it when my things are branded. I decided to take off the "SYNC powered by Microsoft" badge just above the shifter. I used the same methods with this as I did with taking off the exterior "Focus" and "titanium" badges. All you need is a hair dryer and some dental floss.

Here's an image:

Super easy to do, but be a little careful. The edges of this emblem are really sharp, so do your best not to pry or else you'll scratch the paint.

Oh god. I think if I saw the word Microsoft plastered in my new Focus I'd have to refrain from vomiting.
Good to know it's easy to remove.

The first thing I did when I saw the emblem in the car was see if I could twist it a little to see if it was just stuck on with tape. lol. I've been dragging my feet on trying this but it's good to know it won't be a problem.

Thanks for posting this - I searched this site and others to see if anyone had done this but didn't get any hits. This Microsloth logo was one of the things I was hoping to get rid of but wasn't sure if there was any downside.

ohuigan,is your interior paint gloss or did you put armorall or something on it? My interior is matte finish. I'm still up in the air with de-badging.

Interesting...My interior paint is glossy. In fact, it looks like sterling grey. I'll take a more general picture and show you. My ac vents are that same glossy color.

The SEL and Titanium trims get the special finishes on the center console.

Hey Chris, The only Focus I've seen other than mine was a white one. The White looks really sharp on these.
