Removing Steering Limiters in Ti Handling Package

Probably built into the knuckle and thus cannot be removed. It's absolutely ridiculous my big 535i can make way sharper u-turns in places my little Focus can't, and my 535i has 255's up front (275's in the rear, not that it matters).

Tell me about it, when dopping off my daughter's friend the other day, I went to make my typical u-turn. Notta ... had to make it a 3 point turn! My Toyota Sienna can make the "U'ey" ... oh well, I still love my car. The Sienna is supposed to have 0.8 ft. greater turning diameter, so it could very well have been operator error, I suppose.

Siennas, particularly the new ones, have impressive turning radii. I work at a Toyota dealer, and I'm always slightly surprised when I have to turn one around in a tight spot.

Has anyone installed the Titanium 18x8 +55mm wheels on their non-Titanium Focus?

If there's rubbing on full lock, then I could always make a mental note of maximum steering wheel turns, but if it occurs even when driving in a straight line, then that could be a problem. The reason I wonder is because of the 18-in-wheel specific lower control arm that bsp_53 mentioned.

Ive been using 235/35/19s on tsws with 42 offset and havent had any full turn rubbing... But who knows.

I have enough room that on my new set of rims im running 45 offset and 245s which i think wont have any rub at all!

Yea, the turn radius of my Ti with the 18's is a bit annoying. My previous car a VW Jetta Sportwagon had a much better turning radius....and it was a wagon. That aside, I still like my Ti!

Did you put in the Ti HP steering rack or still using the original one that's on the SE?
